North Carolina Has Established a New COVID-19 County Alert System

New COVID-19 County Alert System  The NC Department of Health and Human Services is pleased to start sharing important information. North Carolina is currently experiencing high levels of community transmission of COVID-19 statewide, but the virus is impacting some counties particularly hard.

The state has established a new COVID-19 County Alert System to help North Carolinians understand how their county is faring and take actions to slow the spread of the virus. Under the system, 53 counties are experiencing critical or substantial community spread, with the remaining counties seeing significant community spread. Drive Through Flu Shot Clinic

Fearrington Cares and 501 Pharmacy to provide Drive-Through Flu Shot Clinic

Wednesday Morning, November 18, 2020

9:00 a.m. – Noon

Participation requires pre-registration by calling Fearrington Cares Center, 919-542-6877. Registration closes at noon on Friday, November 13, 2020.

Fearrington Cares remains closed. We are opening for several hours on this day to provide this valuable service.

Pharmacist Han Su from 501 Pharmacy will provide a flu shot clinic @ Fearrington Cares on the morning of Wednesday, November 18. We will return your call and collect demographic and insurance information you regularly provide in order for Han to determine whether your insurance will cover the administration of the 2020 flu Vaccine.

(The cost out of pocket is $65 and must be paid by check prior to receiving the vaccine if insurance is declined.)

We know everyone who uses email gets overwhelmed by so much communication, and we know a large number of residents don’t use email at all. Please spread the word in your neighborhood and with your friends in Fearrington. Fearrington Cares is making a valiant effort to help everyone receive a flu shot this year in a safe way.
