The Chatham County Council on Aging is excited to announce that it has completed the development of a Five-Year Aging Plan. The plan involved several committees and community meetings over the past several months. The Council had valuable assistance from a Capstone Team of graduate students from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. The resulting plan is a guide outlining planning and programming for older residents for the next five years across Chatham County.
The Council on Aging invites county residents to attend a community presentation of the Aging Plan slated for Thursday, May 10, 4:00-5:00 PM, at the Chatham Community Library in Pittsboro. The library is on the campus of Central Carolina Community College campus in Pittsboro, which is near the Eastern Senior Center on Highway 87.
Light refreshments available. If you have questions, contact the Council on Aging at 919-542-4512.
