Fearrington Cares Handyperson Volunteers
Because of the current stage of the COVID-19 pandemic, Handyperson services are limited to service only outside the home. Fearrington Cares Handyperson Volunteers can help with minor non-emergency home repairs and small maintenance issues such as minor plumbing, carpentry, light bulb change, programming garage door openers, smoke detector battery replacement, and more. Note that the volunteers cannot move heavy furniture and, due to licensing regulations, they cannot do work involving electrical or gas connections. Call the Fearrington Cares Center for scheduling.
No Fee or Membership Required for Our Services!
- Donations, while appreciated, are not required to use our services.
- Your support, as a volunteer and a donor, covers a portion of the costs.
Are you handy? Are you a person? Then you can be a Fearrington Cares Handyperson! Join the group of skilled, smart, graceful, attractive people who help Fearringtonians with fixing leaky faucets, replacing light bulbs and smoke alarm batteries, hanging curtain rods, and many other odd jobs that seem difficult to some but easy for others. You need not be skilled in all things or on call all the time. We need specialists and generalists and you decide whether to accept a particular task when called. If you would like to help, we need additional team members. Call 919-942-6877.
Comment by Fearrington Village Resident: “I wish to thank Fearrington Cares for sending one of their handymen to change a high ceiling light bulb. Also thanks to Rick and other handy men in our community for providing this service. You are greatly appreciated.”
