“This week I found a neighborhood gem between Briar Chapel and Fearrington village: Steel Roots. No it is not a metal plant shop, the very friendly owner, C Christy O’Hara has a treasure trove of lovely decorator touches, furniture to order and gift items for the home. I was most impressed with her selection of upholstery fabrics. You can buy by the yard and take it to your own upholsterer. I wish I had known about this before I trapped all the way to Raleigh to buy fabric. She has limited hours, mostly closed Monday and Tuesday & opens at 11 AM other day. She is also an interior decorator and makes home visits.”
