Fearrington Cares & the Fearrington Homeowners Association (FHA) want to THANK village residents, clubs, and organizations that donated relief supplies, and the 44 volunteers who donated 90 minutes or more of their time to off-load, repack, and count donated supplies and then load them onto the truck for delivery to those in Eastern North Carolina who need the relief supplies the most.

185 vehicles drove by and volunteers offloaded the following specifically requested supplies:

  • 135 (33 gallon) garbage bags of paper goods (paper towels, diapers, toilet paper)
  • 131 large boxes of cleaning supplies, food, and personal items
  • 85 cases of bottled water, lots of buckets and 29 mops!!
  • In addition we collected $2,780
    • $ 1,465 for the American Red Cross and
    • $ 1,315 for the Salvation Army.

For information on how the collection has been and will be handled going forward, read this file, which reviews the steps involved in the drop-off, truck loading, and delivery to a warehouse in Raleigh for temporary storage and later for strategic delivery to where the donated supplies are actually needed the most.
