Parkinson’s Disease: Seeking a Cure Together … A Walk Around the Park

Fearrington Cares Parkinson’s Support Group held its third annual “Walk Around the Park” for a cure for Parkinson’s Disease on Saturday morning, October 27, 2018. See the photo gallery.

The goal of the Walk is to raise awareness of  Parkinson’s and funds for a cure. This year’s Walk included 80 family, friends, village neighbors, a yoga class, and Fearrington Dutch folk who all joined members of the Parkinson’s Support Group. Donations of $1,500 were accepted for the Parkinson’s Foundation but were not requiredTo also donate, go to the National Parkinson’s Foundation, use this link.

The group is now raising funds to participate in the Parkinson’s Moving Day NC Triangle Walk on November 03, 2018. For more details, to join their team (Beltie MOOvers), go to movingdaywalk.org/MOOvers, or email Doug Zabor at the address below.

28 Fearrington supporters and people living with Parkinson’s Disease walked in the 2017 “Moving Day, NC Triangle” an annual fundraising walk event for Parkinson’s support. They plan to walk in 2018; contact Doug (jdzabor@gmail.com) for details.
