Small Group Get-Togethers at the Center

Twice a month, Fearrington Cares offers two opportunities for monthly small groups to meet in person at the Center. We hope to create friendly conversations and connections where neighbors may meet face-to-face in a safe setting. Crossroads Conversations will address different topics each month. Busy Hands Together is an ongoing meeting of neighbors who enjoy hobbies such as knitting, crocheting, and other hand crafts.

The programs will be open only to fully vaccinated neighbors who will wear a mask and practice social distancing. Pre-registration is required by calling us at 919-542-6877. Participation is limited.

Please follow our COVID safety protocols.

According to retail expert Angela Wang, “China is a huge laboratory of innovation and in this lab, everything takes place on people’s phones. Five hundred million Chinese consumers—the equivalent of the combined populations of the US, UK, and Germany—regularly make purchases via mobile platforms, even in brick-and-mortar stores. What will this transformation mean for the future of shopping? Learn more about the new business-as-usual, where everything is ultra-convenient, ultra-flexible, and ultra-social.”

Angela Wang is a member of The Boston Consulting Group retail sector focusing on China. To read more about her work, click on this link and her TED Talk from December 2017. Then join us as we discuss her ideas and how our lives will be affected.
