Phase 2 Re-opening Plan

The staff and Board of Directors are excited to announce we are now in a Phase 2 Re-opening period beginning June 07, 2021. Our staff is working weekdays from 9am – 1 pm.  In visiting the Center, we ask you to follow the guidelines included in this Phase 2 plan as outlined below. By adhering to our Phase 2 guidelines, you will be able to come to the Center for health consultation, to borrow equipment, for support groups, to attend a small group meeting, and to participate in some movement classes.

You can call the Center to discuss a handyperson request. Handypersons will be able to assist you in your home if conditions to mitigate risk of infection are in place. We have not yet resumed our full transportation program, however, Fearrington Cares volunteers will pick up groceries that you order (and pay for) online. We will not go to a resident’s home, pick up cash or credit cards and shop for residents – the service is limited to picking up prepaid orders from grocery stores or pharmacies. Volunteers are available to provide transportation to medical appointments if you are able to comply with risk mitigation procedures. These scheduled rides must be arranged by speaking directly with a member of the staff by calling the Center between 9:00am and 1:00pm, Monday -Friday.

A Gift to the Community from the Fearrington Village Concert Association

The Fearrington Village Concert Association has commissioned a video concert by pianist Frederick Moyer and is making a gift of the concert to the Fearrington Community. Fred Moyer has appeared as piano soloist with most of the major orchestras of the United States, as well as many orchestras of Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia. He is well-known to Fearrington, having appeared many times in the Fearrington Concert Series and most recently in October 2019. The program moves from classical music to jazz and includes music by Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Schumann, Sergi Rachmaninoff, and Oscar Peterson. It is an absolute delight and a welcome treat during this period. It is available on an ‘unlisted’ YouTube address. You can find the information to access this concert on the Fearrington Cares website under the Resources tab. To access directly, just click here, and enjoy!.

A very special THANK YOU to the Fearrington Village Concert Association for this gift to the community!
