About Us

There are many great places to live, but few have a community care organization as dedicated to its residents as Fearrington Cares (FC). We were founded in 1990 by Fearrington residents who believed that when neighbors help neighbors, everyone benefits. Today, we are recognized as one of the most dynamic and effective nonprofit community care organizations in the nation.

We’re part of the Village to Village Network, a grassroots coalition of approximately 250 Villages across the country that helps neighbors live independent, healthy lives. Unlike other Villages, however, FC provides these services at no charge. FC is 100% funded by Donations from Fearrington Village (FV) residents, and fueled by its Volunteers.
