The Rumble & the Respite

Friday, February 11
10 am–2 pm
FC Center

Are you a caregiver providing your spouse or other loved one with activities of daily living? This new program is designed to add fun and comradery to the lives of residents who need assistance with activities of daily living, while also giving you the opportunity to take a break from your daily responsibilities. We describe caregiver as an unpaid family member, most often a spouse, who provides direct care for activities of daily living for a loved one.

The Rumble & the Respite will be a safe and enjoyable space filled with activities including lunch. As a caregiver, you’ll have some time to do something for yourself. For more information and to register, contact Karen Metzguer at
919-542-5877 or send her an email.

Meet Conner Sandefur, our newest Fearrington Face. He’s the Fearrington Cares web administrator and was instrumental in redesigning our website, which debuted last fall.

Fearrington Faces profiles four of our neighbors each year. Read about Conner, his wife Brittany, and their two children by clicking here.

New Movement Classes:

Join Chair Tap Dancing on Thursdays at 10 am at the FC Center. Sit in your chair and keep the beat with your feet. Tap shoes not required.

Yoga for Every Body combines classic postures with modifications so you work at your own pace. Classes are held Thursdays at 2 pm at the Fearrington Cares Center.

Posture, Balance, and Cardio – or, as we call it, PB&C — will get you moving to catchy music every Friday at 11:30 am at the Fearrington Cares Center. Beginning March 11.

February Education Programs:

What are some of those emergencies we might face?  Steve Krasnow, a resident of Fearrington Village and certified member of the Chatham County Emergency Preparedness Team, will discuss emergency preparations. He will describe items that need to be in your home kits and how one needs to be prepared. Via Zoom.
