Meals on Wheels provides a hot lunch for home-bound older adults age 60 or older who cannot cook for themselves and who cannot attend meals at one of the Chatham County Council on Aging senior centers. Our frozen meal program provides five lunches a week that may be heated in the microwave. Meals on Wheels is a program of the Chatham County Council on Aging. All meals are prepared in our kitchen in Siler City and delivered by a force of more than 80 volunteers drivers.
Since 1996, Takeout Central has been delivering food from local restaurants right to customers' doors. Customers can download the app from the Takeout Central website to scan menus of nearby restaurants they serve. The app offers a filter for order tracking and for specific dietary needs, including vegetarian and gluten-free meals.
